Staying Positive in a Negative World

Do you often question why things happen to you? Ever feel like you just have bad luck around you that just won't go away?
I may be a lay person but I am here to tell you that you are not alone. There are things you can do to change your attitude. As difficult as it is to hear this it's about changing YOU. Change your attitude and things Will begin to change for the better.

One of the first things I tell my friends and family to do is when you first wake up in the morning think about at least three things you are grateful for. If you can, speak them outloud. Do the same thing at night before you go to bed. Within a weeks time you should begin to see a change in your attitude.

Another thing I suggest is watch what you say. Begin Listening to others better rather than jumping in to give your two cents. Our words are very powerful and what we say can impact the people around us as well as ourselves.  When we say things we put it out there- to the Universe.

Our thoughts become things. Have you ever discovered that something you thought about often whether positive or negative has happened?  Our minds are very powerful.  We must learn to control our thoughts and the words that come from our mouth

It is very important that we learn to change our words and our thoughts to positive ones for the sake of our children. They pick up on things (our vibes) that will affect them.

I suggest to those who have to have a boost to say Positive Words (Positive Affirmations) to find a book, website or a seller of Positive Affirmation cards. You may go to this website OR contact me for more information about a friend of mine from church who has just published her very own Positive Affirmation cards.

Notice how people around us who are happy go lucky and positive have the same type of people around them. We can also be the same way- we just have to change our attitudes!

What I am about to say may offend people but it's true.

For those who are ill, are constantly ill or who have been ill they bring it on themselves.

There, I said it.

But think about this: you have an ache, pain or a "victim" moment. You place some thought into it. Then it magnifies and gets worse.

Do you ever wonder how or why a person who has been diagnosed with a very serious disease or illness such as Cancer survive even though they have been given a death sentence?

They do Not dwell on the death sentence, the disease or the ailments associated with it. They focus on living life to the fullest, show gratefullness to many things around them and they stay positive!

This takes discipline and practice. It is NOT Impossible for anyone to change their attitude!

One word I have banned from my vocabulary and currently working on with my three children is banning the word TRY.  Chances are when someone says they are going to Try to do this or that, they really are not going to do it.

For me it is either I am going to do it or I am not going to do it.

Showing confidence is a true strength that attracts other positive people to you.

We want to teach our children to say I AM.

One last important item is we must Love ourselves first. Take care of yourself first. How can You take care of anyone or Love anyone else if you do not care for yourself or Love yourself?
